General donation

The general fund is what daily entitlements and monthly baskets are drawn from for approved households. Because it is unrestricted, it responds best when need rises in a particular area or season.

The amount enters the fund as soon as payment is confirmed, and is recorded in the ledger against that fund. Every later order holds its amount from this balance; if the balance is insufficient, no order is created.
